Richfield Man Charged for Allegedly Assaulting 12-Year-Old Son

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the ’s Crime Reports from Monday, detailing incidents from Dec. 4 through Dec. 10, 2011.

A 36-year-old Richfield man was charged with disorderly conduct Dec. 4.

Police responded to a reported burglary at restaurant on 64th Street and Nicollet Avenue on Dec. 4. A safe containing an estimated $1,200 was reported stolen.

A 30-year-old Richfield man was charged with assault after allegedly making terrorist threats during a domestic incident Dec. 5.

Police are investigating a possible burglary involving instruments. On Dec. 5, a city worker—on behalf of the band—reported that two instruments were missing from the band’s storage facility. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

A woman reported that a known female associate assaulted her over narcotics Dec. 5.

A resident reported that a landscaping brick was thrown through the window of his side door Dec. 5.

A juvenile was cited for possession of marijuana and tobacco Dec. 5.

Police responded to a burglary on the 6400 block of Clinton Avenue Dec. 5.

Two cameras, a pair of prescription glasses and car and house keys were reported stolen from a vehicle Dec. 5.

A UPS package was reported stolen Dec. 6.

A resident reported that $30 had been stolen from her vehicle Dec. 6.

A resident reported that her identity had been used to open a Capital One credit card Dec. 6.

A snowblower was reported stolen from a home on the 7000 block of Newton Avenue Dec. 6.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 60 block of 77th Street Dec. 7.

A resident reported her boyfriend for allegedly using her credit card to make fraudulent transactions Dec. 7.

A woman reported that her personal care attendant allegedly stole four gift cards from her on Nov. 11. The report was made Dec. 7.

A man reported that a fraudulent transaction had been made using his debit card Dec. 8.

A woman reported her son for allegedly taking her Sony flat screen TV Dec. 8.

A man was taken into custody Dec. 8 after he allegedly failed to register as a sex offender with the city.

A 52-year-old Richfield man was charged with domestic assault after allegedly putting his hands around his 12-year-old son’s neck Dec. 8.

A 44-year-old Minneapolis man was charged with assault Dec. 8.

Police responded to a hit and run incident on 77th Street and Lyndale Avenue Dec. 9. The juvenile passenger was detained by citizens and cited for underage alcohol consumption.

A 27-year-old Minneapolis man was charged with DUI Dec. 9.

A 56-year-old Richfield man and a 22-year-old Hopkins woman were charged with DUI Dec. 10.

A 27-year-old Dallas, TX man was charged with giving a false name to an officer Dec. 10.

A 37-year-old Columbia Heights man was charged with obstructing legal process Dec. 10.

A 22-year-old St. Paul man was charged with marijuana possession Dec. 10.
