The two suspects allegedly used a victim's credit card to purchase over $900 worth of gift cards at the Richfield Walgreens.
The Richfield Police Department is looking to identify two suspects who allegedly used a victim’s credit card to purchase over $900 worth of gift cards at the Richfield Walgreens.
The victim is still in possession of their card, so the credit card was likely cloned, according to a news release.
Police remind victims of crimes involving credit cards they are instructed to immediately cancel their cards. If a report is made swiftly with the bank or credit card issuer, federal law caps liability at $50 per card. Most financial institutions won’t charge their customers anything as long as fraudulent charges are reported quickly.
