Richfield Police Warn Residents of Car Theft

Do you lock your car? The practice may not be as common as you think.

The Richfield police are asking residents to be aware of car theft in the area.

Police say residents should always lock their vehicles. Do not leave any valuables in your car, including laptops, GPS devices, briefcases, cash, change, sunglasses, CD’s, iPods, cell phones, or gym bags. Items such as these are tempting to a thief.

Do not leave keys in the vehicle.

Residents who report suspicious activity while it is happening could save you or someone else from being victimized.
