The traveled to Chaska to compete in the Victoria Lions Invite Tuesday afternoon. The invite had a total of 24 teams at the varsity level, several of which were top ranked teams, and making for some very competitive races. The Richfield boys placed 22nd and the girls 21st in the team competitions. Both teams improved the placement from the prior year. There were 166 competitors in the boys race and 163 in the girls race. was the top finisher for the Spartans, placing 78th with a time of 17:54.6. Other individual finishes were: <ul> <li>Calvin Bergen placed 112th (18:20.5); </li> <li>Lucas Blanchard placed 120th (18:26.4);</li> <li>Max Hamiltonplaced 126th (18:30.9);</li> <li>Alex Brault placed 140th (18:50.0);</li> <li>Jake Beaudet placed 153rd (19:12.5); </li> <li>Jon Libra placed 155th (19:21.5).</li> </ul> placed 29th overall and was the girls team leader with a time of 15:50.9. Other individual finishes were: <ul> <li>Erin Brault placed 95th (16:49.7) </li> <li>Sarah Nygaard placed 129th (17:30.7) </li> <li>Erica Stromplaced 157th (18:43.7) </li> <li>Hannah Adams placed 158th (18:48.6) </li> <li>Leah Mohn placed 159th (19:07.7)</li> </ul> Next up for the the Spartans is the Shakopee Invite on Tuesday Oct. 11.
