Richfield Schools to Hold NAAPID Events Monday

The high school and middle school invite community members and parents to participate in National African American Parent Involvement Day Feb. 13.

As part of and 's Black History Month celebrations, the schools are recognizing (NAAPID) Feb. 13.

NAAPID was founded in 1995 by former educator Joseph Dulin out of Ann Arbor, MI. In light of the increasing academic achievement gap and lack of parental involvement in schools for our African American youth, Dulin formed NAAPID as a national call to action to get more African American parents involved in their children's education.

The events will include a welcome breakfast, tours of classrooms, student performances and more. The while the All are welcome to attend.
