Richfield Whiz Kid of the Week: Sam Petrov <ul> <li>15 years old</li> <li> (RHS)</li> <li>Accomplishment: 4.0 student and accomplished video maker.</li> <li>Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Besides being outstanding academically, Sam Petrov is talented in the art of making videos and highlight reels for sports and events on campus. He made the cross country ski team highlight video, end of the year videos for staff at (RMS) as an eighth grader, he has and continues to be the chief backstage and booth administrator for the ever popular RMStalent show. Most recently, he developed the opening montage video for the National African American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID) Celebration program on Feb. 14th.</li> </ul> Petrov was nominated by Jennifer Jacobs, RHS staff member who works closely with Petrov for event planning. "Sam is special because not many people know about him ... yet," Jacobs said in her nomination. "Only a few people know just really how talented he truly is. I believe he deserves recognition for the work he does outside of class to help make Richfield Public Schools great."
