Southbound Highway 169 Closure Delayed

A stretch of southbound Highway 169 scheduled to close this weekend will remain open. The closure has been moved to July 28-31. Southbound Highway 169 will be closed between Highway 55 and Highway 7 starting at 7 p.m. Friday, July 28 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 31.

Rain during the week led to the decision to delay the work a week. The detour will be Highway 55 west to Interstate 494 south, according to a news release.

This is part of a resurfacing and improvement project on Highway 169 from Highway 62 in Edina to Highway 55 in Golden Valley. Northbound Highway 169 will remain open to one lane from I-394 to Seventh Street and Lincoln Drive. Paving on northbound Highway 169 was done June 23-26.
