• MN man hospitalized after being hit by car on Highway 23 (fox9.com) — A man from Richmond is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a Ford Bronco while walking along Highway 23 near St. Francis Street late Saturday night. State Patrol investigators say the pedestrian may have been drinking, while the vehicle's driver and passenger were not hurt. Authorities have not yet released an update on the man's condition.
   

• Tami Kruzel named winner of 2026 Changemakers Award (kvsc.org) — A regional Changemakers Award from St. Cloud Financial Credit Union went to Waite Park's Tami Kruzel, but Richmond was also represented among the finalists by community leader Sandy Wolff. The program honors people improving their communities, with Kruzel using her $5,000 prize to support Bri's Lodge, a grief-support nonprofit she co-founded after losing her daughter.
   

• International Plowing Match Wraps Up with Champions, Parades and Rural Pride (farms.com) — Richmond farmer Gene Gruber made international headlines by winning the Ontario Championship Tractor Conventional title and the overall IPM Champion Tractor Award at Canada's prestigious International Plowing Match. The weeklong event in Bruce County, Ontario drew competitors from across North America and Europe, showcasing modern and heritage plowing, youth contests, and parades celebrating rural life and agriculture.
