Rochester performing artists look to unite amid venue turbulence (postbulletin.com) — Rochester performers and venue owners are organizing a new group, Rochester United Performing Artists, to push city leaders on venue closures and policy decisions affecting spaces like Treedome, Thesis Beer Project and the Chateau Theatre. After a close City Council vote that could displace Treedome, artists say they need a stronger, unified voice to protect all-ages shows, working conditions and the city's growing music scene.

RPD responds to two-vehicle crash in same spot two days in a row (kaaltv.com) — Drivers in southwest Rochester should be cautious near 16th Street SW and Greenview Drive SW, where two separate two-vehicle crashes occurred on consecutive days. Rochester police say one person was hospitalized Saturday and several people were treated Friday, all with non-life-threatening injuries, as investigators continue sorting out details at this trouble spot.

MN Dept. of Labor confirms Rochester businesses under federal investigation (kaaltv.com) — Federal officials are investigating one or more businesses in Rochester, though state labor regulators say they are not involved and don't yet know which companies are under scrutiny. Local and federal leaders, including Rochester's mayor and a regional congressman, have been contacted for details but have not responded. Waite Park Scrubs & Beyond Closing, All Five Minnesota Stores Shutting Down (knsiradio.com) — Medical workers in Rochester will soon lose their local Scrubs & Beyond store, as the chain shuts all five Minnesota locations, including Rochester, in a nationwide closure. A liquidation firm is already working inside the Rochester shop, though no final closing date has been announced and the future of the online store remains uncertain.

James 'Jim' Lowell Stucky (dodgecentermn.com) — Friends and former coworkers in Rochester will remember James "Jim" Stucky, a longtime Mayo Clinic employee who later drove truck and loved horses, road trips, hunting, and fishing. The Kasson resident, whose stepchildren include Rochester-area family, will be honored at services in Kasson next week, with burial in Berne and memorials suggested to First Presbyterian Church.
