Featured Blog: North Suburban Let's Go Fishing with Seniors Debuts Sept. 19th at Lake Johanna. You're invited!

Seniors in our community are valuable assets. They have wisdom to share.
Their experiences are learning tools for all of us.

So why not spend an afternoon out on the lake and learn from them in fun and  fellowship.  We want you to get involved either as a volunteer, a sponsor or even as our guest.  

I am the Chapter President of Let's Go Fishing with Seniors. Let’s Go Fishing is a statewide nonprofit program that enriches the lives of seniors (55 and older), youth and veterans through free fishing and boating excursions that strengthen communities, build relationships and create memories. 

I am excited to be bringing this wonderful program to benefit the communities of Roseville, Shoreview and Arden Hills. The pontoon will be on Lake Johanna from May to July and on Lake Owasso from July to September.There will be two trips per day, Monday through Thursday. We will be serving more than 1,200 seniors, youths and veterans from all over St. Paul focusing on the communities of Roseville, Shoreview, and Arden Hills.

We are having our debut on Lake Johanna on September 19th and would love for you to stop by and learn firsthand about this program. Johanna Shores is co-sponsoring this event with free food and drinks. This event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tony Schmidt Regional Park Boat Landing in Arden Hills. 

There are opportunities for you to ride along with members of the community at 11 and 11:30 a.m. and 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3 p.,m. Please contact me at 651-373-3457 or Julie@nslgfws.com and I can reserve you a seat.
