There's an "APP" for that!!!
"Apps" are everywhere, but for the app to make a difference it needs a key step. New series at Grace Church Roseville

Our culture has gone from barely anyone knowing what an "app" was to it being common vernacular as "apps" are collected on ipads, iphones and really any form of smart phone. "Apps" is the abreviaton for for "application" and they really make the difference with what your device is actually able to do. There are applications in real life too. Skills, character traits etc that need to be "applied" to actually make a difference. We all aware of the traits and skills and we may even admire some of them, but they don't make any difference until they're applied.
At Grace Church Roseville this month we are in a series called "Life Apps". Each week we are looking at some essential "apps" that if put in motion will make a radical difference in our everyday life. While you don't need to be a Christian to use them, they do come straight from the Bible. In fact people are surprised how real life and practical a book written thousands of years ago can actually be!
Last week we looked at "focus", the first of 5 apps we are sharing. We discovered that while few take advantage of it, focus really does provide a way for us to have maximum impact and effectiveness in all the things we do. In fact without the right focus, even the things we once did very well are hindered and decreased. Yet with the right focus on a "great work" things radically turn around. The full message is available to watch online at http://www.extendgrace.org just click on "media" and find the Life App for "focus".

The series continues through May 5th and each app focuses on a life skill or relationship strengthener that comes straight for God's Word, the Bible. All are welcome and invited to be a part of one or more than one of the weeks. Services are held on Saturdays at 5pm or Sunday at 9 or 10:45a.
But here's the thing with "apps" - they must be "app-lied"! I know people who said, "I tried God" or "I tried church" but it "didn't work for me". But just seeing the app or hearing about it is not enough. Until we put it in motion, we won't see the results. What are apps in your life? Are they put in motion or admired from a distance?
