Art in the Park gives K-8 students in the Roseville Area School District the chance to showcase artwork they have created this summer through Roseville Community Education programming. Through Community Education, numerous students this summer have had the opportunity to work with local art professionals in various art camps. These art camps gave students the chance to work with a variety of mediums: fiber arts, photography, puppetry and masks, graffiti art, and more. Many of the students’ creations will be on display at Art in the Park for the public to admire.

Other art projects that will be on display come from Community Education’s Friendship Connection—a school age childcare program—where many students spent countless hours this summer constructing paintings, sculptures, drawings and other works of art.
In addition, students will be showing off new skills they learned this summer at the Performing Arts Show. Atztec dance, hip-hop dance, and African drumming performances will be just a few of the evening’s memorable features.
This year, Art in the Park is partnering with Roseville Area High School Food Shelf to help prevent students in our district from going hungry. If you are able to, please bring non-perishable food or toiletry items to donate to the RAHS Food Shelf. “Just add water” instant meals, noodles, beans, crackers, granola bars and personal hygiene items are staples that are always in need.
