Familiar Faces in New Schools This Fall

Roseville, MN— When school starts up this fall, there will be new, but often familiar, faces at the helms of several elementary schools in District 623.

Dr. Stacie Stanley has transferred from serving as the principal at Emmet D. Williams Elementary School into the role of principal at Central Park Elementary School for the 2013-14 school year. The principal position at Central Park opened up when Ms. Florence Odegard was selected to be the Principal on Special Assignment for District Title I Programming, Teacher Evaluation and School Improvement. Ms. Odegard will be housed at the District Center.

 In turn, Brian Koland, who has been Roseville Area Schools Student Services Supervisor, is assuming the principal position at Emmet D. Williams. 

Newcomer Ms. Beth Behnke is replacing retiring principal Paul Charest at Falcon Heights Elementary School. Prior to taking the position as the Falcon Heights principal, Behnke was a building principal in the St. Paul Public Schools.

“I believe the above administrators are the ‘right leaders, in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills’ and they, working with their fellow staff members, will produce fabulous results for our students and their families, ” said Dr. John Thein, Superintendent of Roseville Area Schools.

The new principals will welcome students back school when classes resume on September 3rd and 4th.
