An inexpensive way to raise your fuel economy is to change your vehicle’s air filter.  Changing your air filter lets your engine breath and increases your fuel economy.  It also cleans the air you breath, making it healthier for you.

Replacing the air filter is one of the easiest routine maintenance tasks that is very inexpensive.  The air filter cleans the air of debris and particles before the air goes into the engine.  Over time the air filter will build up dirt making it harder to draw air in.  The dirty air filter limits the amount air the engine receives.  If your engine is not getting enough air, your vehicle will have poor performance and lower fuel economy.
