Love is…presented by Twin Cities Women’s Choir and Monroe Crossing

The Twin Cities Women’s Choir is delighted to share the
stage with Monroe Crossing, a nationally-known local bluegrass band, to
celebrate one of the world’s most
artistically-expressed emotions! TCWC is excited to learn more about the
vocal traditions of bluegrass and to share Monroe Crossing with our audience.
To quote from their website, “People
often comment that they’d never really liked bluegrass music until they
attended a Monroe Crossing concert!” We will use the joy and expression of vocal music and bluegrass to
broaden the definition of love typically associated with Valentine’s Day. Why
limit the holiday to romantic partners when love comes in so many forms? We aim
to broaden the meaning of this holiday by focusing also on love of family and
friends, love of community, love of country, divine love, and more humorously,
love of life’s essentials such as coffee and chocolate!

Tickets: $23 in advance; $25 at door; $20 seniors and
students
