Roseville Area's Perry Set To Join NDSU Men's Lacrosse

The former Raiders captain is part of the Bison's 2012 recruiting class, the team has announced.

The North Dakota State University men’s lacrosse team announced this week  that Roseville Area graduate Aaron Perry will join the Bison as part of the 2012 recruiting class.

Perry, a standout defender for the Raiders during his high school career, is slated to be part of NDSU’s program as it begins play this spring.

Perry was a captain for Roseville High School, and was often charged with shutting down the opposing team’s top offensive players.

“It’s always nice to have a guy that was captain of his team,” Bison coach Zach Bosh said. “They are always great teammates.”

Perry helped Roseville go 4-8 last season as a senior, including 2-4 in the Suburban East Conference.

Men’s lacrosse is a club sport at NDSU. The Bison compete in the Upper Midwest Lacrosse League during the regular season and take part in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association’s Division II tournament during the playoffs.

NDSU compiled an 11-4 overall record in 2011, including a 6-1 mark in the UMLL, and reached the national tournament. The Bison lost 10-8 to Savannah College of Art and Design in the first round.

“This class will help us to reach our goal of a National Championship,” Bosh said. “We were able to add even more size and speed to our roster.”
