Roseville, fresh off their upset of St. Louis Park, had a tall order in No. 1 seed Minneapolis South on Saturday.
The South Tigers proved to be to much for the Roseville Raiders in a 3-1 loss. The Raiders were able to hang around with a 2-1 deficit throughout the second half. But the Tigers iced the game with an extra goal down the stretch.
The Raiders also had a missed opportunity on a penalty kick that the Tigers goal keeper stopped head on.

"They are a very good team," Raiders coach Agapitos Papagapitos said about the Tigers. "I wish we had tested him [the South goal keeper] more. I wish we had taken a few more shots and see what he could do. His defense is very strong. Those guys playing in front of him were very tough."
The Tigers, ranked 18th in the state, will advance to play in the section 6AA finals. The Raiders saw their season end, but they have young team with many potential returning players for 2012.

Only five seniors will graduate off of the Raiders squad. Those seniors include Max Brasch, Mishiah Toe, Divine Attipoe, Matt Allen and Nick Ladas.
They will returns lots of talent, and they have a season of experience under their belts. The Raiders had rebounded from a slow start to the season as they went 5-0-1 prior to Saturday's loss. The Raiders also upset St. Louis Park on the road on Thursday in a 2-0 victory.
"We didn't know what to expcet at the beginning of the season," Papagapitos said. "It turns out we did OK. We had a lot of growth. Hopefully a lot of kids will come back next season. We have a lot to build on."
