"So that's what it's like to breath through your Nose"
I was born with chronic asthma, & I have had trouble breathing ever since I was a toddler, to make things worse,
I have had trouble with my sinus' as long as I can remember. My nose was 1st broken in a car accident in Spring 1977 in Jackson, Mississippi my face hit the passenger window. Then in 1979 I fell down at a party, & really messed up my nose. In High School in 1980 a friend was horsing around on Halloween and hit me in the face with a trash can & again messed up my nose. Then in early 1981, I was in yet another auto accident, my face struck the steering wheel.
Every Spring I had horrible sinus problems which only got worse in August when the humidity was in full swing. In 1990 my Dentist Dr. Apodaca in Des Moines, did a full X-ray of my head, & informed me that I had massive scar tissue in my sinus cavities that was affecting my teeth, & that I would need a sinus operation. In 1996 Dr. Evans took another X-ray & confirmed this finding.
In April 2010 I came down with vertigo I went to Dr. Salazar in Apple Valley, he also confirmed I needed a sinus operation to clear out all the scar tissue in my face, causing sinus build up & pressure in my cranium. In Sep 2009 I shattered my right foot. In 2012 it became infected & I had a 2nd operation. Dr, Matt Hasty agreed to do my physical therapy on my right foot for recovery. One day while Dr. Hasty was performing P.T. on my foot, I joking asked him "Could we try that on my face to break up the congestion in my sinus's" he said "No, but there is a procedure, I can perform that would help, albeit, there is some discomfort" I responded "I will try anything at this point" And so we did. I must say the 1st time for me it was beyond "Discomfort" however my deviated septum & scar tissue is/was worse than most other cases. So I had to have more than 1 procedure, I am up to 7.
On the very 1st day I could breath much better, yes I did have some side effects; swelling & headaches, but with each procedure I could breath easier, & the procedure went much easier & quicker. I was getting much more air to my lungs, it has helped immensely with my allergies in the Spring & when Aug rolls around & the humidity kicks in. To my surprise & delight this procedure has even helped me with my allergies to cats ! Now while I am still allergic to cats, with my improved air flow to my lungs, my allergies to cats take longer to kick in. I used to react in 20 minutes, now it can take up to 2 hours !
Now while I still need a major surgery for all the scar tissue in my face, this "Nasal Specific Procedure" has proven to be the next best thing. So my advice if you're suffering from any kind of sinus congestion, you would be a fool to not try this procedure at least once. I myself had drastic improvements from day One !
