Lively music and fanciful footwork will abound as the Duquesne University
Tamburitzans dazzle audiences of all ages and backgrounds with their
spectacular performance that features Eastern European folk music, traditional
dances, and more than 400 elaborate costumes.
Join
us for this rich tradition at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 12th, 2013
as Roseville Area Schools Community Education hosts a performance by the world-renowned
Tamburitzans.
The
group is comprised entirely of more than 30 full-time college students from all
over the world. After a rigorous audition process, the troupe rehearses
intensively for three weeks before taking the show across America. The group
trains with masters of various Eastern European traditions to ensure that every
show highlights authentic Eastern European cultural experiences through
costumes, songs and dances. Roseville
Area High School will be one of their first stops of this year’s touring
season!
