• MN Ratepayers Could Be On The Hook For 'Billions' Over Google Data Center, AG Warns (patch.com) — State officials in Saint Paul are scrutinizing Xcel Energy's proposed power deal for Google's planned Pine Island data center, warning that regular customers could face billions in costs despite a law meant to prevent that. The Attorney General's office told the Public Utilities Commission that Xcel hasn't proven Google will fully cover its long-term power costs, and criticized heavy redactions that obscure potential bill impacts for St. Paul and other Minnesota ratepayers.
