Man Dies After St. Paul House Explosion
The dramatic explosion completely leveled the home late last month.

SAINT PAUL, MN — Weeks after he was injured in an explosion at his home, Saint Paul resident John Lundahl has died, his brother confirmed Wednesday. The blast happened Nov. 23 on the 600 block of Payne Avenue.
The explosion leveled the home. A surveillance video from a nearby deli captured the dramatic incident on tape.
Lundahl was rescued from the scene and hospitalized. However, he died from his injuries last night, according to his family.

"I'm very sorry to inform you that my brother passed away last night in the hospital," Richard Lundahl wrote on GoFundMe Dec. 12.
"He wasn't responding to treatments for the last week or so and he peacefully went last night." Richard said his brother's pets were rescued and are being cared for.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation, according to the Saint Paul Fire Department.
