Final MN State Seal Design Chosen By Panel: See It Here

ST. PAUL, MN — A Minnesota panel on Tuesday chose state seal design "S224" as its top pick out of five finalists.
While the State Emblems and Redesign Commission is expected to make modifications to the design, S224 (seen below) will serve as the basis for the next Minnesota state seal.
Commission members are expected to vote on revisions — including the motto and date — at its upcoming meetings. They will also have to make a selection of the six state flag finalists.

The commission meets Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Under state law, the commission must develop and adopt a new design for the official state flag and the official state seal no later than Jan. 1, 2024.
