Poison-Laced Bread Meant for Dogs Found: Saint Paul Police
Police are investigating incidents where residents have found bread in their yards with what is believed to be poison meant for their dogs.
The Saint Paul Police Department is investigating repeat incidents where residents have found bread in their yards with what is believed to be poison on them meant for their dogs. If this happens at your home, authorities ask that you make a police report by calling (651) 291-1111.
If at all possible, police ask residents to recover the bread for the officer to take to have it tested for poison and to be used as evidence. Be sure to use a plastic baggie to pick up the bread.
The incidents in Saint Paul are at least the second dog poisoning scheme to be investigated by police in the Twin Cities this year. In Nov., police began investigating a string of dog poisonings in Hopkins.
