Absentee Voting Opens Today at Scott County Elections
Absentee voting will be available from Sept. 21 through Nov. 5.

If you can't make it to the polls on Election Day, Nov. 6, starting today you can vote absentee either in person or by mail at the Elections Department located in the Scott County Government Center.
Absentee voting will be available from Sept. 21 through Nov. 5.
According to information on the Minnesota Office of the Secretary of State website, the reasons someone can vote absentee are:

- Absence from your precinct
- Illness or disability
- Serving as an election judge in another precinct,
- Religious discipline or observance of religious holiday,
- Eligible emergency declared by the governor or quarantine declared by the federal or state government
The Shakopee City Hall is no longer providing absentee voting

Office hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Monday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
