• Shakopee Man Charged After Police Say 516 Grams of Meth Found During DWI Stop (limitless-news.com) — A late-night traffic stop in Shakopee on Marschall Road near County Road 42 led police to seize about 516 grams of suspected meth and 524 grams of marijuana from a car's trunk and backpack. A 66-year-old Shakopee man now faces first-degree drug charges, cannabis possession, and DWI, with potential decades-long prison sentences if convicted. He remains presumed innocent. 
• 51K+ citations issued during summer's '100 deadliest days' campaign (fox9.com) — Minnesota's summer traffic crackdown included a driver clocked at 137 mph by Shakopee police, one of the fastest stops recorded statewide. Overall, nearly 300 agencies issued more than 51,000 speeding tickets and over 1,400 DWI arrests. Officials say the data, including Shakopee's extreme-speed case, will guide future enforcement and safety education.
