Shakopee Outdoor Skating Rinks Are Open – Mostly

The Shakopee outdoor ice skating rinks are open—most of them. The rinks were officially scheduled to open on Dec. 22, but bad ice conditions delayed the opening for most of the rinks until Thursday, Dec. 27.

All the outdoor skating rinks are open except for at Hiawatha Park. That rink will likely be open by Friday or Saturday at the latest, according to Shakopee Parks and Recreation.

As long as the weather allows for it, the rinks will remain open until February 18.

The rinks and warming houses close when the windchill reaches -15 or the temperature reaches -10. Ice skate rental is not available at the rinks. Call 952-233-9502 for updated information on rink closings.
