Signsealndeliver Wins $50,000 Cup at Canterbury

Signsealndeliver came from the back of the pack to win the Dark Star Cup on Saturday.

Signsealndeliver came from the back of an eight-horse pack Saturday at Canterbury Park to win the $50,000 Dark Star Cup.

The 7-year-old won the six-and-a-half furlong race by just one length in 1:15.66. It was an upset victory for the horse, and paid $11.80 to win.

“The outside horse drifted out,”  Signsealndeliver's jockey, Ry Eikleberry, said in a statement. “I knew my horse was game to go through and he did.”

Southern Dude finished second and Absolutely Cool third in the race, named after Minnesota racing ambassador Dark Star, who died a year ago.
