The
public is invited to an evening of story magic at the opening of its newest
exhibit “Storied Treasurers: Highlighting
the Collections of the Scott County Historical Society”, Thursday,
September 26, 2013 from 6:30-8pm. Storytelling
is powerful. The stories associated with objects – what they are, how they were
used, who owned them and what they mean – helps bring them to life. Through the
preservation of artifacts and their stories, the Scott County Historical
Society exists to save and share our community’s history.
Special
guest Richard Rousseau of Tales from Another Stage – opens the exhibit by
weaving his storytelling magic at 7pm. Come
share and remember Scott County’s stories!
Admission is free for SCHS Members, $4 for adults and $2 for students. For
details, contact Stephanie at the Scott County Historical Society, 952-445-0378
or sherrick@scottcountyhistory.org or visit www.scottcountyhistory.org.
