What's Open and Closed On New Year's Eve and Day in Shakopee?
Some businesses are shortening hours on New Year's Eve and closing on New Year's Day.

Shakopee Community Center: The community center will close at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 and closed on Jan 1.
Shakopee City Offices: On Dec. 31, Shakopee city offices are open during regular hours. They are closed on Jan. 1.

Outdoor Skating Rinks: All rinks are now open.
- On Dec. 31 rink hours are from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- On Jan. 1 rink hours are from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Banks: Many banks will be closed on Jan. 1 and may have special hours on Dec. 31. Call your bank for specific hours.

Library: Shakopee Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 31. All Scott County libraries are closing at 5 p.m. for New Year's Eve. Scott County libraries are closed on Jan. 1.
Post Office: Many Post Offices will close at 12 p.m. on Dec. 31. Post Offices are closed on Jan. 1.
Residential Refuse and Recycling: Dick's Sanitation will run routes a day late from Tuesday, Jan. 1 through Friday, Jan. 4.
Businesses: Some businesses may have special hours for the New Year. Here are a couple.
- Target: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 31; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Jan. 1
- Cub Foods: Open 24 hours on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1
