4 U of M-Area Restaurants Will Close for New Apartment Tower
Big 10 Restaurant, Village Wok, Bun Mi, and Espresso Exposé are all closing to make way for a new apartment tower in Stadium Village.
Four beloved Stadium Village restaurants located on Washington Avenue are slated to close. Stadium Village borders the Dinkytown neighborhood and is home to TCF Bank Stadium.
The four restaurants currently occupy the space of what will be a 26-story, 438-unit apartment tower, according to the Star Tribune.
The Big 10 Restaurant and Bar, Village Wok, Bun Mi, and Espresso Exposé will all close their doors for the final time in the near future.

The Village Wok has been a favorite spot for authentic Chinese food for several generations of students at the University of Minnesota.
Dinkytown and the surrounding area has seen significant change in recent years as corporate developers build apartments and local businesses are closed.
