MINNESOTA — A total of 500 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Minnesota Thursday, along with 13 additional deaths. The new report comes as state health officials encourage Minnesotans to celebrate July 4 safely.

Total positive cases: 37,210

  • Number of health care workers: 3,706

Patients no longer needing isolation: 32,163

  • Deaths among cases that resided in long-term care or assisted living facilities: 1,143
  • Probable COVID-19 Deaths: 37
    • "Probable" means COVID-19 is listed on death certificate but a positive test is not documented for the person

Total cases requiring hospitalization: 4,112
