Arson At St. Paul Enterprise Rent-A-Car: Man Pleads Guilty

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A 32-year-old from Minneapolis plead guilty Friday to one count of arson. Matthew S. White admitted to burning down the Enterprise Rent-A-Car location on University Avenue in St. Paul.

On May 28 — during the street violence that erupted in the Twin Cities following the death of George Floyd — White and a juvenile started a fire inside a back office of the building, according to federal authorities.

This case was the result of an investigation conducted jointly by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the FBI, the St. Paul Police Department, and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal Division.
