Bernie Sanders Eyes Minnesota, Announces 56 Local Endorsements
The Bernie Sanders campaign is making Minnesota a high priority ahead of Super Tuesday.

MINNEAPOLIS — On Thursday, Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign announced a slate of 56 endorsements from Minnesotan elected officials, activists, community leaders, and union members.
The announcement comes just days away from Super Tuesday, which includes' Minnesota’s primary.
"Bernie Sanders knows votes must be earned, and never taken for granted," said Bernie 2020 Minnesota State Director Reed Millar in a statement.

"Which is why our team is so proud and honored to welcome the support of these dedicated Minnesota leaders who represent diverse communities across the state. This campaign is not about one person. It is about a multiracial, multigenerational movement that brings people together to confront the issues of our time and ensure our nation finally works for everyone, not just the few. Thank you for standing with us."
The supporters announced Thursday follow several other Minnesota endorsements, including from Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar, State Senator John Marty, Minneapolis City Councilor Jeremiah Ellison, Minneapolis City Councilor Alondra Cano, Duluth Council Member Joel Sipress, St. Paul Council Member Nelsie Yang, and Community Leader Winona LaDuke, and TakeAction Minnesota.

Sanders' campaign is making Minnesota a priority ahead of next week's primary. He currently trails just behind Sen. Amy Klobuchar in a recent Star Tribune poll.
On the eve of Super Tuesday, Sanders will travel to St. Paul to rally with supporters at a "Get Out the Vote" concert. The concert will include a featured performance by Nathaniel Rateliff & the Nightsweats.
The Monday, March 2 rally will take place at the Saint Paul RiverCentre (175 West Kellogg Boulevard). It will start at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open for the public at 5:30 p.m.
