MINNESOTA — Twenty-one more people have died from the new coronavirus, the Minnesota Department of Health announced Friday. The increase ties the daily high for deaths in the state, which was set Thursday.

More than 3,100 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Minnesota so far. Nearly 1,600 people have recovered.

Total approximate number of completed tests: 53,787

  • Total approximate number of completed tests from the MDH Public Health Lab: 10,954
  • Total approximate number of completed tests from external laboratories: 42,833

Total positive: 3,185

Coronavirus: Minnesota State Fair Is 'Considering Options'

"The State Fair will do the right thing for Minnesota, our nation and our world," the fair's general manager said in a statement Thursday.
