TWIN CITIES, MN — Friday will feature warm weather before light snow overnight. Then, things will turn increasingly colder.
The low will continue to fall next week, reaching 2 degrees on Wednesday.
"A cold front will push through Friday and a period of snow will follow Friday evening," the National Weather Service said. "Light accumulations are likely, generally less than an inch. Strong winds will follow with gusts of 40-50 mph and some more blowing snow through early Saturday morning."

Friday: A 20 percent chance of rain after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Friday Night: Snow, mainly before 11pm. Patchy blowing snow between 9pm and 2am. Low around 7. Blustery, with a west northwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 17. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.
