TWIN CITIES, MN — A dense fog advisory that covers the Twin Cities metro area remains in effect for Monday morning. Drivers should be prepared for low visibility, the National Weather Service said.

Visibility can be as low as one quarter-mile in dense fog.

"If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you," NWS said.

Here's the full NWS forecast for the Twin Cities metro area:

Monday: Areas of dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 51. Calm wind.
Tuesday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. East southeast wind around 5 mph.
Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 73. East southeast wind around 5 mph.
Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. East southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph in the morning.
