Garrison Keillor says Goodbye to Lake Wobegon

Keillor hosted A Prairie Home Companion for the final time Friday evening.

Hollywood, CA – Garrison Keillor signed off from A Prairie Home Companion for the last time Friday evening after 42 seasons as its host.

The 73-year-old Minnesotan created the show in 1974, set in the fictional town of "Lake Wobegon."

Besides featuring a telephone call from President Obama, Friday's show at the Hollywood Bowl followed the same routine, the New York Times reported.

It ended with “Next Time I’m In Town,” with Keillor singing the line: “There’s one thing I promise you, that’s another rendezvous, next time I’m in town,” according to USA Today.

Keillor said "Thank you, everybody, goodnight" before walking off the stage.
