Gophers' Coughlin Projected To Go In 1st Round Of 2020 NFL Draft
Don't be surprised if Minnesota Gophers linebacker Carter Coughlin gets picked in the early rounds of next year's NFL draft.

MINNEAPOLIS — At least one early projection for the 2020 NFL draft has a member of the Minnesota Gophers being picked in the first round. Linebacker Carter Coughlin, a graduate of Eden Prarie High School, is projected by Athlon Sports to be picked at No. 16 in the first round.
The website's early 2020 draft prospect rankings has the Minnesota native going just ahead of Auburn University defensive end Nick Coe, and right after Ohio State defensive end Chase Young.
Several members of the Gophers celebrated the high projection on Twitter Friday, including the team's defensive coordinator, Joe Rossi:

According to GopherSports.com, Coughlin recorded 48 tackles, a team-high 9.5 sacks, had 15 tackles for loss, and led the team in four forced fumbles last season.
He heads into the fall as a senior.
