Heather Fleck Rips Star Tribune Columnist For Being 'Awful'
The wife of the Gophers football coach is tired of the Minneapolis columnist being so negative.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — This isn't the first time Star Tribune columnist Patrick Ruesse is getting criticized for being overly negative, and it probably won't be the last. But if there's anyone who could change Reusse's tone, the Flecks are the family to do it.
On Thursday night, Ruesse took to Twitter to post a jab aimed at both Minnesota Gophers football coach P.J. Fleck and the Minnesota Wild:
Wild break out video of Phil Fleck screaming encouragement near end of 2nd period. Following pattern of end of 2017 Gophers football season, Wild don't score & lose 2-0 on empty-netter.
The tweet made fun of the fact the Gophers went 5-7 in 2017 and were shutout twice. Tired of Ruesse's antagonism, P.J. Fleck's wife Heather called him out for being "negative" and "awful":

Why are you so negative and awful all the time??? What is your issue with a man that gives his ENTIRE life to making a program and young lives BETTER??? Maybe you should take a look at what he does for the community and for our youth before you slam him all the time.

Many Twitter uses backed up Heather's point, while others said Ruesse is just being realistic. The columnist responded to Fleck with one word, "balance."
