I believe getting off track every once in awhile is the key to staying in alignment with your wellness goals long term. Being okay with getting derailed once in awhile helps to alleviate feelings of guilt and frustration – 2 emotions that never, ever, ever, ever get you to your goals. AND coming to terms with the fact that you can eat and/or drink a bit too much every once in awhile will also allow you to plan for it and actually enjoy yourself when you do indulge.
Through my blog, I share tricks and tips on this so you can come away feeling satisfied and excited to be healthier again after a derailment. Because actually wanting to return to your healthier ways is the most powerful form of motivation!
WANTING to return to your healthIER ways. Craving it. Crave it like when you're so thirsty you could slam 10 glasses of water. You can't procrastinate it or deny it.

While I don’t label myself vegan or vegetarian I eat the majority of my food raw and I go days without eating animal products. I do this for health and ethical reasons and it feels so flippin’ good! Eating such clean, whole foods, I’ve taught myself how to listen to my body and let that tell me what I need. And on rare occasions, mama just needs some meat!
I have daily intentional practices I use to be happier, eat clean, get physical activity, sleep peacefully, cope with stress (and impossible people!), feel more confident, energized and compassionate. The work I do to stay happy and healthy has little to do with the scale anymore. My motivation comes from knowing how I want to feel, lovin’ myself, being happy and getting along with others.

Now, don’t get me wrong here, I haven’t always been this happy person. I used to be an angry, judgmental person. One day in my early twenties I decided that my dysfunction wasn’t working any more. My dysfunction mostly consisted of getting angry quickly, jumping to conclusions, taking things personally, blaming others for my situation and being overall judgmental. (Sounds hot, right? Total package.)
I’ve seen how a bad mood and stress destroy any intentions to live healthier or lose weight. I’ve seen it hundreds of times in my clients and myself. I’ve spent countless hours researching and working to become a happier person. I see that the happier I become, the easier it is to make healthier choices. I know I’m not alone here. When my clients and program participants really get it – when they realize how amazing it feels to live healthier and happier – that feeling motivates them for life to make better decisions. They become happier and healthier for good.
Through my blog, I also share my own personal discoveries, daily practices, goals and outcomes from striving to be happIER and healthIER along with strategies to get them into your own life so you too can be happier and healthier starting today. Because *damn* it feels amazing!
