Joanna Gaines, Target Collaborate On New Cookbook, Home Decor
Joanna Gaines chose the Minneapolis-based retailer to sell a special edition of "Magnolia Table."

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Joanna Gaines, one half of HGTV's "Fixer Upper" power couple, has chosen to collaborate with Minneapolis-based Target to sell home decor as well as an exclusive edition of her new cookbook.
"Hearth & Hand," a partnership between Target and Magnolia — the lifestyle brand by Chip and Joanna Gaines — offers new products from kitchen, dining, and home office to mothers day gifting.
Target is also selling a special version of Gaines’ new cookbook, "Magnolia Table" that includes seven additional recipes featuring dishes like bacon and cheddar quiche and an open-faced grilled cheese with arugula and balsamic reduction drizzle.

"A lot of these recipes are tried and true favorites that I’ve been perfecting for years, like my biscuits and chocolate chip cookies," Gaines said in a news release. "Others were inspired by meals we’ve had with our family and friends."
"The corn chowder recipe is one of Chip’s favorites. When it's ready to serve, the fact that everyone can personalize their bowl of chowder with their favorite toppings makes this a quick and simple family favorite."

Target's partnership with Gaines follows a failed collaboration with Hunter to produce limited-edition women's tall rain boots. The company apologized to customers after it canceled the product line, saying "they didn't meet our standards."
Joanna and her husband Chip decided to end "Fixer Upper," one of HGTV’s most popular shows shows, after its fifth season.
