KARE 11 Anchor Says He Has Cancer, Again
The news anchor is looking to go "2-for-2" against cancer.

MINNEAPOLIS — A longtime media personality in the Twin Cities says he has cancer for the second time. "I never thought I’d ever say this again about me - but I have cancer, again," Randy Shaver revealed on Twitter Monday.
The news anchor beat Hodgkin lymphoma 20 years ago. In April, Shaver reflected on his struggle with the disease in a feature for KARE 11.He now has prostate cancer.
"I’ve often said Cancer doesn’t care who you are or who you love," Shaver said. "The road ahead won’t be easy but my plan is to go 2-for-2!"

In a Facebook post, he wrote that his prognosis is good, but it's the "process" he dreads.
"I’m scared. I won’t lie," tweeted Shaver's son Ryan, who also works for KARE 11. "But I have faith he will beat this again."

My dad is my hero. Always has been - always will be. If there’s anyone that can beat this again - it’s him. I’m scared. I won’t lie. I want my dad to meet my future grandkids. I want my dad to be at my wedding. But I have faith he will beat this again. He promised, and I believe. https://t.co/UJQWWY7nbO
