Minnesota Timberwolves Fire Head Coach: Report
Tom Thibodeau served as Minnesota's head coach and president.
MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves have fired president and head coach, Tom Thibodeau. The news was first reported by The Athletic's Shams Charania and Jon Krawczynski.
Ryan Saunders will fill in as the coach on an interim basis, while Scott Layden will be the general manager.

ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted Sunday evening that Fred Hoiberg — who was recently fired by the Chicago Bulls — "is a serious consideration" to become Minnesota's next head coach or general manager.
The Timberwolves (19-21) defeated the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday night, 108 - 86.
