DETROIT, MI — The Minnesota Twins broke the Major League Baseball record for most home runs in a single season Saturday night in Detroit. Mitch Garver's solo home run was the Twins' historic 268th homer of the season.
The previous record — 267 — had been held by the New York Yankees since last season.
The Twins lost to the Tigers, 7 - 10, tonight. They currently lead the American League Central Division by 4.5 games.
