Minnesota Vikings Play Detroit Lions On Thanksgiving: Game Info

Two top NFC teams clashed at U.S. Bank Stadium Sunday, but in the end the Minnesota Vikings looked dominant in their 24-7 win over the Los Angeles Rams. "Good team win today," head coach Mike Zimmer said after the game. "I thought we played well in all three phases. I thought it was, we made plays when we needed to."

The 8-2 Vikings have won six consecutive games and lead the NFC North with two games between themselves and the Detroit Lions (6-4) in second place. The Lions needed a 52-yard field goal with under two minutes remaining to defeat the Chicago Bears Sunday. Detroit is undefeated against division rivals this season.

The Lions will play their 78th Thanksgiving Day game dating back to 1934. The Vikings will play in their eighth.

Detroit and Minnesota have just three days to prepare for their Thanksgiving Day NFC North showdown at Ford Field.
