TWIN CITIES, MN — The National Weather Service says there's a "100 percent" chance of precipitation in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area Friday night. Residents can expect the afternoon to be mostly sunny, with a temperatures around 82.

Prepare for showers and thunderstorms Friday evening, mostly before 9 p.m. Temperatures will fall to 58 degrees, and winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible.
