Minnesota Weather: Storms To Start The Week

TWIN CITIES, MN — Expect a wet start to the weather this week in Minnesota. "Another round of showers is expected overnight and Monday, with a chance for thunderstorms on Tuesday that lingers into early Wednesday," states the National Weather Service.

"Sunny weather returns to end the week, with temperatures more or less seasonal for the end of April and beginning of May."

Sunday Night: Scattered showers before 4 a.m., then scattered showers and thunderstorms between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 52. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely before noon, then isolated showers between noon and 1 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Tuesday: Showers. High near 57. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
