Minnesota's Andrew Zimmern Mourns Loss Of Anthony Bourdain
"A piece of my heart is truly broken this morning," Zimmern said of the news.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Andrew Zimmern, the award-winning, nationally acclaimed food and TV personality from Minnesota said he's grief-stricken over the death of fellow chef Anthony Bourdain.
"A piece of my heart is truly broken this morning," Zimmern said on Twitter Friday morning.
"And the irony, the sad cruel irony is that the last year he’d never been happier. The rest of my heart aches for the 3 amazing women he left behind. Tony was a symphony. I wish everyone could have seen all of him. A true friend."

Bourdain, who hosted CNN's popular "Parts Unknown," died from an apparent suicide at 61. He frequented the Twin Cities and once called Minneapolis an unexpected foodie city.
Zimmern said Bourdain was an "extremely loyal friend," according to the Huffington Post. Bourdain evidently felt the same way.
"He's smart, nice and insightful," Bourdain said of Zimmern in a 2016 interview with Delaware Online. "But I also resent him a little bit because my daughter worships him," he joked.
Bourdain's death comes just three days after the apparent suicide of Kate Spade, the iconic fashion designer who police said hanged herself in her Upper East Side apartment Tuesday.
