MN Snowstorm Update: Here's What To Expect Tuesday

TWIN CITIES, MN — Between 3 and 6 inches of snow will fall by Tuesday night in the Twin Cities, according to the National Weather Service.

"Snow will become more widespread this morning, with travel impacts expected across the region," the NWS said.

Meanwhile, temperatures will drop significantly this week.

"Very cold wind chill values are expected for the remainder of the week," the NWS added.

"The lowest wind chill values will occur over west central and central Minnesota where readings could drop as low as -30F."

Tuesday: Snow, mainly before 5pm. Patchy blowing snow before 3pm. High near 14. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -1. Wind chill values as low as -14. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 10. Wind chill values as low as -16. North northwest wind around 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 0. Wind chill values as low as -12. North northwest wind around 5 mph.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 14. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -2. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 14. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.
