MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota state Rep. John Thompson was found guilty of misdemeanor obstruction by a Hennepin County jury Wednesday, according to a report. Police accused Thompson of resisting arrest while at North Memorial Hospital in November of 2019.

Thompson received a stayed sentenced of 30 days at the county workhouse, KARE 11's John Croman reports. Because the sentence is stayed, Thompson won't have to serve those days unless he commits a similar crime.

Thompson will have to pay a $200 fine and $78 in fees.
